Skewed View III

Okay, here are some more photos I did. If you have been keeping up with "Skewed View" you will notice the postings usually follow a theme. This one is People. Photos of people. I really suck at portrait photography. I'm kinda shy when it comes to taking some one's picture. Go figure, me shy?

This one was taken at three or four o'clock in the morning in Chicago on Thanksgiving. I tend to have terrible insomnia. It's a store mannequin in a window display. I have two different photos of mannequins but I haven't loaded the second. If you look close you can see the lights of the city reflected in the glass in front of the display.

This one got a little washed out in transferring to the computer. I should have corrected it before posting. Oh well. But it was taken at a friend of mine wedding. It was her daughter (who was also the flower girl) I thought it was a good show of some of the attitude she had inherited from mom.

Believe it or not, this is my sister. She is my little sister Bobbi. People who don't know I have a sister always seem to think it's a photo of me in make up because we have very similar eyes. All I have to say is I have ABSOLUTELY NO DESIRE TO DRESS LIKE A WOMAN! I guess it's just the eyes that throw people off. Who knows. I printed this very hot to get the washed out effect. It's fun to play with people's faces!

This was an experiment. I took the photo with my Brownie from the 1920s. It had light leakage and came out totally bizarre. I liked the effect. It is actually a former neighbor wearing a rubber Halloween mask but it developed to look like it was actually his face. So it's one of my favorites. Hard as hell to print though.

This is a favorite one of mine. There was an art project here in Louisville where local graffiti artist were invited to paint the walls under and over pass. One artist painted this haunting woman. I photographed it, as well as others. I am not happy about the flash affect at the bottom of the picture, but it was early morning. It still came through with the sensual creepiness I liked when I saw it.
