August Rush

Must see movie. "August Rush"
I went last night to see a preview of the movie August Rush starring Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rys Myers and many others. Directed by Kirsten Sheridan.
The story was well written and wove a delicately intricate tale of three souls intertwined.
There were elements of Oliver Twist in the movie but not overwhelmingly so. Music was used as a magical fabric that drew the main characters toward each other. Or really helped them find each other which is the main plot of the movie.
Three people finding their soul mates through the connection they all have with music. Two in romantic love and the third a child created from their love.
I am rarely touched by movies anymore but this one actually did a great job at it.
Robin Williams who, although a great character, has become very lack luster in his role choices and performances lately. However, in August Rush he performs the character with perfection only becoming over the top when the character required it for the scene. Definitely a much better choice for him than some of his other recent roles.
The music of the film was a joy to hear and edited well with the film. The only complaint about the characters I have is Keri Russell character was a cellist who never played with her hair up which seemed too improbable to accomplish while playing the cello.
In all the main characters presented the emotion of the film better than I had seen in awhile and the secondary characters accomplished the feat of being more than comic relief or just plot filler. They were strong enough to be necessary to the film.
Should anything been changed I think the movie would not have gone as well as it had. So if you get an opportunity, or even if you have some free time go see this movie! It begins in most cities November 21, 2007. To me it was one of the few movies I have seen in a long time I would be more than happy to pay full movie ticket price for. Hope you enjoy!
