Blah, blah, blah
The problems in the Middle East have lasted over three thousand years. Most issues Iraq has as well as all the countries of the region have little to do with the U.S. and will continue long after we have left, long after the oil runs out. It is necessary that elected officials, take an extremely hard look at the whole issue that is Iraq and view all information with logical eyes. No longer using the excuse of freeing a suppressed people. That excuse is not valid so long as our biggest trade partner, China, is also the biggest offender in the world of suppressing freedom. Or that we ignore Burma, Sudan, Russian countries and other African countries all engaged in suppressive regimes that kill, torture and silence the voices of the people. Until we cease to allow one suppressive regime to take precedence over another and unilaterally condemn and take steps against all such governments then the U.S. government cannot claim they are doing all this in Iraq to fight oppressive regimes. When the president claims the government is being fiscally irresponsible by voting for health care, or education but then demands billions for a war designed to empower and fill the pockets of private corporations the country has a desperate problem. DO NOT GIVE THE GOP ANY MORE MONEY. By opposing Bush/Cheney that would be the ultimate support of the U.S. troops in a greater way than spending more money to pay the contract laborers in Iraq. It is time to end this dictator like rule and break the cycle of war money by voting for no more money in Iraq. But I'm not going to hold my breath.
